Rotary Vane Pump
We, Fluid Technik Pumping Systems are well-established manufacturer and supplier of Rotary Vane Pump, Mechanical Rotary Vane Pump and Rotary Moving Vane Pump under the brand name Rotokon. Rotokon – Rotary Vane Pumps are highly suitable for handling many clean fluids. They have unmatched capacity to handle many liquids with low lubricating characteristics at relatively high pressures.

These Rotary Pumps are designed in such a way that metal-to-metal contact is automatically eliminated and make Rotokon Pumps low in starting torque and are self-priming. These Rotokon Vane Pumps have very low vibration and pulsation characteristic. It has exciting advantages, which other pumps normally does not have, but its flow remain constant over the entire pressure range. One of the exciting character of Rotokon Vane Pumps is that, it does not have to be lubricated and are virtually maintenance-free throughout their entire life except for cleaning the strainer.

Recommendations:

The Rotokon pumps are manufactured to close and exacting tolerances. These must be protected at all time from foreign matter larger the 125 microns which can cause damage and even breakage to the internals. Particles smaller than 125 microns will generally pass through the pump without catastrophic damage, although the abrasiveness of those particles may greatly shorten the life of the pump. If the water supply is likely to contain sand, grit, or the like, it is recommended that a cartridge-type filter be installed in the incoming line. Be careful to ensure that filter capacity is large enough to avoid excessive pressure drop.

For longer, problem-free life to the pump, the following suggestions are made for those applications where other than tap water is being pumped.

Steam and Detergent Cleaners:
Trouble-free pump life can be obtained when:
  • The detergent is introduced After The Pump.

  • Adequate strainers (100 mesh) are used on water inlet line.

If a detergent solution is to be pumped, take precautions to alleviate excess wear and resultant premature life:
  • Ensure that the powdered detergent (if used) is completely dissolved.

  • Use an adequate strainer or filter in incoming line to pump.

  • Avoid high pH solutions or the use of detergent containing ammonia.

  • Make provisions for pump cut-off to prevent it from running dry or in a starved condition.

  • Flush pump thoroughly with fresh, clean water after each use.

Cooling Circulation:
The addition of pure ethylene glycol in the fluid in cooling applications will not harm the pump.
Caution: Some commercial antifreeze is not recommended.
Hot Water:
  • Water temperatures above 190°F are not recommended and special construction and sealing members must be used for water temperatures of 150°F and above.

  • Inlet must be flooded at all times.

  • Pump must not operate against a closed discharge.

Syrup Solutions:
  • Make sure that mixture is thoroughly dissolved and that no particles of sugar remain in solution.

  • Do not allow pump to run dry or in a starved condition.
Protect pump by adequate filtration, keeping filter or strainer clean so liquid flow is not restricted.

  • Be sure fittings and lines are clean and free from any encrustation caused by drying of solution.

  • When shutting down the systems flush pumps thoroughly and drain completely.

Repair Service:
Your Rotokon pump can give years of trouble-free operation when properly used.  When the pump does become worn, a complete overhaul is required.   This can best be accomplished by factory-trained personnel.  A field repair is expensive and generally results in lower performance.
Rotokon maintains complete repair facilities at our factory.

General Specification:

  • Flow Rates: Upto 1000 Ltrs/hr

  • Pressures: Up to 14 Kg/cm2
